The policy is designed to help when a residential property benefits from an existing dropped kerb – or ‘vehicle crossover’ – which has been built without consent from the local authority.
It covers both the buyer and lender against the costs of defending against, and complying with, enforcement action from the local authority, as well as any reduction in market value if the crossing can no longer be used as a result. If planning consent for the crossover should also have been obtained, the policy can be combined with our lack of planning cover.
Premiums start at just £96. To find out more, take a look at our products page, where the policy can be found under both ‘Access’ and ‘Planning’ sections.
