The Landmark Trust restores castles, forts, towers and cottages for self-catering breaks that are far from your average holiday home. You can choose from any of their 200 properties around the UK, from picturesque pavilions to Gothic follies, and even a pigsty!
While all the properties are lovingly restored with modern comfort in mind, none of them have televisions, radios, telephones or WiFi – so they truly are a break from daily life, where peace and quiet is practically guaranteed.
